PDF Scanner respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the PDF Scanner mobile application.
Information We Collect
PDF Scanner does not require you to create an account and does not collect personal identifying information such as your name, address, phone number, or email address through the app.
Documents you scan, import, or create in PDF Scanner — including photos, PDF pages, signatures, and related metadata such as document titles and dates — are stored locally on your device.
PDF Scanner does not automatically collect location data, contacts, or other personal information beyond what is needed for the app’s features.
Data Storage
All documents, scanned pages, saved PDFs, and signatures you create in PDF Scanner are stored locally on your device using your device’s local storage.
PDF Scanner does not upload, sync, or back up your documents to external servers operated by us.
If you delete the app, locally stored documents and data may be removed depending on your device settings.
Camera, Photos, and Files
PDF Scanner requests access to your device’s camera so you can scan documents.
PDF Scanner may request access to your photo library so you can import images as documents.
PDF Scanner may allow you to import files (such as PDFs and images) from your device using the system file picker.
These permissions are used only to provide scanning and import features. PDF Scanner does not access your camera, photo library, or files for any other purpose.
Subscriptions
PDF Scanner offers optional subscription features processed through Apple’s App Store.
When you purchase a subscription, payment and billing are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Apple may provide us with limited subscription-related information (such as subscription status) so we can unlock Pro features in the app. For details on how Apple handles your data, please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Text Recognition (OCR)
PDF Scanner may use on-device text recognition to make scanned documents searchable.
When this feature is used, text recognition is performed on your device. Your document content is not sent to our servers for OCR processing.
Data Sharing
PDF Scanner does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
Any document you choose to export or share using your device’s built-in sharing features (such as AirDrop, Mail, or Files) is controlled entirely by you and is only sent to the apps or services you select.

Children’s Privacy
PDF Scanner is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
PDF Scanner is designed to minimise data collection. Because your documents are stored locally on your device, you remain in control of your data.
You may optionally protect exported PDFs with a password. Password-protected files are encrypted as part of the export process on your device.
While we take privacy seriously, no method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The app is intended for personal and general document management purposes only. PDF Scanner does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for how you use scanned documents, signatures, and exported files.
